Having never been to Toronto, and having no real idea about Toronto Real Estate, Amanda has been invaluable in finding a home for us.

Being from the UK, I didn’t understand the role of a Realtor (they don’t exist back home!). However, she was recommended through a Toronto Facebook group that we were members of. We got in touch about 6 months in advance and arranged a Facetime chat about our needs. She took her time to understand what we wanted and discussed areas to look at, as well as ways for us to look at properties coming onto the market. She gave clear instructions about what to expect and forms to fill out in advance to prevent delays in submitting offers when we found a place that we liked.

Other than Googling different areas to live in Toronto, we were clueless as to where we wanted to live. Closer to the time of moving, we spoke to Amanda several times and discussed areas – her knowledge was so helpful in trying to identify neighbourhoods that would be good for us with a young family.

After identifying suitable properties, she managed to arrange viewings really quickly and at appropriate times for us in the UK. Using Facetime, she was able to show us around each property, and most importantly, gave us her honest feedback of each one. She didn’t beat around the bush if she thought that they were shabby or run down or in bad areas for example.

Once we found a place that we liked, Amanda worked rapidly to get all of the paperwork in order (which is a huge amount compared to the UK) and packaged our offer in a way to sell to the landlord. I felt she went above and beyond to make our offer attractive in what is an exceptionally competitive property market.

Once we had the offer accepted, Amanda gave clear instructions about what we needed to do and the nuances of Canadian living. She hasn’t lost the British sense of humour and we appreciated her honest advice and personal touches. After all that, she has become like a family friend for us.

Amanda has been invaluable to us both finding the right place for our family, and having our offer accepted, which all happened before even stepping foot in Toronto. We honestly can’t thank you enough – you’ve been so helpful through everything and we’re extremely grateful!
